Hotel Willa Pod Skocznią in Zakopane

Wielka Krokiew

The ski jump Wielka Krokiew is one of the most famous sports facilities in our country. It is Poland’s largest natural ski jump, located on a forested mountain slope. A popular attraction is the chairlift ride to the top of Wielka Krokiew, offering panoramic views of Zakopane.

The chairlift operates daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or 8:00 pm, depending on the season. Hotel Willa Pod Skocznią*** is just a few minutes’ walk from Wielka Krokiew. Most rooms, especially the Hotel Lux rooms, offer beautiful views of the ski jump.

Giewont

It is a peak in the Western Tatras, located within Tatra National Park at an elevation of 1,894 meters above sea level. Giewont resembles the profile of a reclining man, which is why it’s often called the “Sleeping Knight” who guards Zakopane. According to legend, the Sleeping Knight will rise and come to the rescue in times of danger. A distinctive feature of Giewont is its 15-meter cross at the summit. You can reach the top via three popular routes: from Kuźnice (through Hala Kondratowa or Kasprowy Wierch), from the Mała Łąka Valley, or directly from Zakopane through the Strążyska Valley.

Kasprowy Wierch

A peak in the Western Tatras with an elevation of 1,987 meters above sea level, Kasprowy Wierch is home to Poland’s first and most popular cable car. The cable car ride is an unforgettable experience, and from the viewing terrace, you can admire panoramic views of both the Polish and Slovak Tatras, including the beautiful Gąsienicowa Valley, Świnica, and Slovakia’s Krywań. At the summit station, there is a snack bar, waiting room, and a TOPR rescue station. Kasprowy Wierch is a starting point for numerous hiking trails, making it a popular destination and symbol of Polish skiing, beloved by winter sports enthusiasts. In winter, it’s even possible to ski all the way down to Kuźnice.

Krupówki

The most popular street located in the center of Zakopane, lined with numerous shops, restaurants, cafes, a post office, and clubs. You can enjoy attractions like a horse-drawn carriage ride or take a photo with a bear mascot. Right next to Krupówki is the City Park with a concert shell. It takes just a few minutes to walk from our property to Krupówki.
